St Ives is a particularly lively place to spend New Year in Cornwall - the cobbled streets around the harbour are full of people having a great party - and all in fancy dress. There is a wonderful New Year's Eve fireworks display and dancing in the streets. Mousehole (with perhaps the most beautiful harbour in Cornwall) attracts many people having a holiday in Cornwall at Christmas and New Year to see their Christmas lights. These are a spectacular display and the turning on of the Mousehole Christmas lights in mid December is a popular tourist attraction. Land's End is the most westerly point in England and attracts a huge number of visitors to Cornwall.
